Hacked Games Get Fragged!

Rockstar the maker of a number of huge game franchises, including Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto V (one of the top ten games of all time) and Max Payne 3, announced that they are coming down hard on the cheaters.

The miscreants (their word, not ours), will be isolated in to a cheaters world, where they can fight the other cheaters at their leisure. “Anyone discovered to have utilised hacked saves, modded video games, or other exploits to gain an unfair advantage in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, or to circumvent the leaderboards will be quarantined from all other players into a ‘Cheaters Pool, the place they’ll only be capable to compete in multiplayer matches with other verified miscreants”.

This state of hell will continue to exist for the player until Rockstar is convince they have changed their ways. Once released back in to the non-cheating player pool they will be monitor for future transgressions. If caught a second time they will be banned indefinitely.

They have asked players that see users playing hacked games such as “using invincibility hacks, infinite adrenaline, score cheating or doing anything else suspicious, to just send them an email at maxpayne3.banhammer@rockstargames.com”

One would not expect Roskstar to stop there, I expect to see these new tactics to deal with hacked games to be deployed across all of the Roskstar franchises and more than likely be taken up by other large game companies.
