Plod Stops Chasing the Climategate Hackers

If you were responsible, rest easy my son, as the UK plod has shelved the investigation in to who hacked the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU). The Climategate attack released over 1000 emails messages and 3800 documents relating to global warming, or the lack of it. Kentucky teenager Savanna Dietrich faces jail time. Her crime? Being molested by two teenage boys at a party. You see Savanna went to a party, where she clearly had too much partying and past out. According to Dietrich, after passing out, her attackers molested her, and they also allegedly videotaped the incident and shared it with their friends online. Not Cool Apple, Not Cool

Users of popular file sharing service Dropbox are reporting an influx of spam, practically their European based users. The Dropbox user forum has seen an increasing number of postings since Monday indicating users are receiving Spam to their dedicated Dropbox email addresses. The Dropbox response has been to hire outside experts to investigate the source of the spam and the possible breach of data. Feds Smash Global Hacking Group UgNazi

The FBI arrested 24 hackers from across the globe, including the leader and members of the global hacking group UGNazi on Tuesday. The people arrested were all men and ranged from 18 to 25-years old Hackers from the US, Norway, Australia, Japan, Italy and the UK were included in the massive operation. Eleven people were arrested in the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Manhattan US Attorney’s office said. Guilty! LulzSec Tangodown!

Members of the hacking group LulzSec have pleaded guilty to hacking a number of websites. Ryan Cleary, 20, from Essex’s and Jake Davis, 19, from the Shetland Isles, admitting being part of the hacking group LulzSec. Cleary confessed to four charges, including hacking into US Air Force Agency computers, based at the Pentagon. According to the U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), anytime you are promoting a company or its product or services it an Advert, and should be labelled as such.
