Early Flicker Bitch Slaps Anonymous

A French firm has taken a swipe at Anonymous by applying for a trademark on everything unique about the hacking group.

Early Flicker has registered the Anonymous headless man backed by a globe image and the Anonymous slogan “Anonymous, We are Legion, We do not forgive, We do not forget, Expect us”, with the National Institute of Industrial Property in France.

This theoretically would allow the French firm to produce and sell merchandising with the logo and slogan throughout the European Union.

Not surprisingly the Anonymous boys (ahem) and Girls, (updated by ed) aren’t too happy and released a video on Youtube expressing their views, “Their arrogance and ignorance of what they have done will not go un punished. Anonymous will take down any business they have going on the internet and the ninety nine percent will not stop until the registration has been revoked and a public apology has been made. The name of Anonymous will not be the whore of the world.”

The group has started Operation AnonTrademark, with the goal of taking down the French firm and will “not forgive” until the registration has been pulled and the company has issued a public apology.

It takes some large cojones on Early Flicker’s part to take on an organisation that spends its day attacking organisations they don’t like. One would have to question the business model of painting a huge target on your back and then trying to sell merchandising to the guys and gals that are likely targeting you.

Who else would want to buy an Anonymous hoodie?
